Mochika_X7

We are proud to bring back to the world the all-time classic AtomoSynth Mochika. This new version, “X7,” represents a rebirth of the classic Mochika sound, along with extensive modulation capabilities and a new modulatable onboard delay effect.

The new AtomoSynth Mochika X7 comes in both an Eurorack format, with an extensive patch bay for integration into your modular system, and a standalone desktop version. It features the classic square and saw analog oscillator, a noise oscillator, and an “always in tune” digitally controlled oscillator with square, saw, triangle, and sine waveforms. These give you renewed sonic possibilities that, in conjunction with the classic AtomoSynth vactrol filter, will elevate your sound palette.

The renewed 32-step sequencer features four parameters per step: step on/off, pitch, gate time/retrigger, and step repetition/skip, giving you the tools to get creative with your sequences. With the high-contrast OLED display and eight rotary encoders with pushbuttons, it is now easier to see and edit the global sequencer options and all parameters in real time. It also features a 100-slot nonvolatile memory to store your patterns. You can synchronize the sequencer with an external clock, MIDI clock, or USB MIDI clock, and it can also be controlled by any external MIDI device or USB MIDI host for MIDI note playing and sequence transposition. The new nine creative playing modes include: forward, reverse, ping-pong, random, drunk, step-trigger polyrhythm, experimental worm sequence, scrub playing, and MIDI control mode. All parameters, patterns, and modes are editable while playing, giving you great flexibility to perform live, experiment, and have fun creating.

The new Mochika X7 is built with high-quality components, high-precision SMD technology, and, for the desktop version, a compact and beautiful 3D-printed case. It is designed, hand-assembled, calibrated, and tested with care in Lima, Peru, by the AtomoSynth team.
